Dear GenCon,

We registered for Star Wars Celebration back in March.

We just got a call from your customer service representative.

Our tickets will not be mailed beforehand. Due to "a glitch." So, we now face the infinite pleasure of spending an entire day in line waiting for Will Call.

We have just one question:

You didn't have time to mail out tickets.

But you have time to contact 35,000 con-goers individually to tell each and every one of them about this?

*sighs*

That definitely sucks. Hopefully they have will call open a day or two early with extended hours.

FWIW, [livejournal.com profile] smeeeko and I recieved our tickets in the mail last week.

BTW, where are you staying?

According to the RS forums, some are getting tickets, others are getting the Will Call treatment.

We have reservations at the Wilshire Grand, but that might change at the last minute--I'll try to put a note here before we leave. At which point, I hope *I'll* know where we're staying!

BTW, you saw I assume pix of the medallions we're giving out for FREE FREE FREE at the collecting panels?

At least they're not trying to make you stand in line at Will Call and then pay a full lost-badge fee because they sent the passes out by unreliable Bulk Mail and several weeks too late, like Anime Central did.
