My box from Volks arrived!

That was quick. It should be, after paying $42 for postage (grumble, grumble).

This doll is based on a video game, Das Ring des Niebelungen, which I suppose is based on a Wagner opera.

Why you'd wanna base a video game on a turgid tetralogy, I dunno. Being cursed with congenital lameness, I haven't played the game. Do you suppose it's over when the fat lady sings, hahahaha?

I have a couple other characters from this series. Not all of them, just the weirdest ones.

Fel's got great blue hair.

Is that your sword, or are you just happy to see me?

Here's the pamphlet that was included with the doll.

Of course, after paying $160 for the doll, plus $42 for shipping, you're still supposed to assemble and paint the sword by yourself.

Volks also kindly enclosed some timely catalogs from doll shows that occurred last February in the box.

Arigato!

She's a super-powered nun who morphs into a super-powered maid whenever the boy she likes sprays her with scalding water! Coming in January from TokyoPop.
