...tajiki!

Our buddy [livejournal.com profile] igrrl, the God Queen of Shitijiki, hipped us to a very cute Stitch pencil board, and thus, the floodgates opened.

Some pretty cute images on these boards.

They're also translucent, so you can see the design from the back as well.

A lot of people love pencial boards. Although, mysteriously, no one seems to know quite what the Japanese actually do with them.

I like 'em! The first and last one look like they're part of a series.
I'm curious to know how you'll store these ^_^

They're all from the same company: Sun-something?

They'll be stored crammed somewhere in my room, just like everything else I own. I had to put up a new shelf last weekend, strictly for Stitchiness.

Sun-Star. They release a lot of Disney Shitajiki.

When I meant series, I was referring to a collection of boards with similar design components. Your first and fourth board have the same style, leading me to believe that Sun-Star released a series of them. It could consist of as little as two boards or much much more. Tokimeki Memorial had a series of 6 character boards, all with flower borders and a character on each side.

Completests and shitajiki collecting are a lethal combination. I have every licensed CCS board produced between 1997-2002. Why? That's a good question...

Yup, Sun-star, that's the one! I'll keep my eyes peeled for more on the auction boards, now that I know what the heck they are.

I'm sure I'll be fine as long as I limit myself to Lilo & Stitch. And maybe NBC. Or other Disney stuff, if they're cute. And maybe CCS, and some other shoujo anime, and some other anime...... :-P

pencial boards are put under a sheet of paper you are useing, so that when you write your writing does not cause an indent in the paper below it.

you know how like crime scene analysis can take a notepad and figure out what was written on it, even if the peice of paper that was written on is no longer there?

well this prevents that indent from happening.

why? no clue. but it's apperently very important for the japanese

Oh, ok, that at least makes sense. I had thought they were supposed to be used like clipboards, but they're so flimsy, that seemed a little weird.

Supposedly some schools have horrible desks. Then there's notebooks. You can put a board underneath the paper you're using and the rest of the paper underneath will be free from damage.
