So, tiki spent the morning at the post office, mailing off dollies to all our nice buyers.

Entering the PO is always an eye-opening event, as we marvel at the fellow human beings we meet who have, for all evidence, never in their lives before entered a post office, and as such are innocent of the wonders therein. Like, these packages, what are they?

Today was a good sampling, as the line stretched out the door.

Do you see the woman at the counter?

She didn't know how to use a roll of tape. Yes, really. She didn't know how to use tape. The insanely patient postal clerk was helping her.

Now you know some measure of my husband's pain... although he's glad he mostly doesn't have to interact with customers. It's bad enough when they try to use him as a traveling P.O. "No, I can't weigh that for you," but the poor clerks. The poor, poor clerks.

This is why postal workers hate the holidays!

(Extra reason I get annoyed if people try to guilt us into excessive holiday visiting -- Cory has the job that requires EIGHT TIMES as much work between the end of November and the middle of January. I don't even see him then... summer barbeques are much better party, anyway. Then we can wear our Hawaiian print tee shirts! La la la!)

... dude. If I'm ever foolish enough to host a holiday party, I am SO doing a Luau in December costume party.

Q: How many Stitch print shirts are there?

I can't fathom the level of stupid at the post office.

If you're asking about adult sized Stitch Aloha shirts in the US, I know of very few. There were a couple that were made fot the film crew, and a couple of overpriced ones issued at the time the movie was out. Japan has had several cute ones, but I haven't been very good about keeping up with them, since (to me) clothing in Japan seems very overpriced. The times I've seen Hawaii-themed promotions as the US disney stores, they'll either not include Stitch, or issue him only on kid-sized apparel.

Oh man! That hurts my soul -- what are they thinking?

You KNOW Cory and I would wear matching Stitch-and-Angel blue-and-pink Hawaiian print shirts.

(If you can't put a chara on adult merchandise THAT IS A HAWAIIAN PRINT SHIRT, what can you put it on? And not just any chara -- Stitch. Stitch.)

I know. They just always do Aloha Mickey and Minnie over here.

The J Disney store has had some cute Hawaiian prints. Now is obviously not the season, but if I see one, I'll post pix. (Not that I expect you to buy crap from the J Disney store.)

Yeah, I had to mail a few video games that I sold on Amazon off today. I swear I was about two seconds from pushing the girl ahead of me aside and pushing the buttons on the automatic postage machine for her. I don't even deal with the clerks anymore unless I can't possibly help it.

We have the auto post machine (which I usually prefer), but they had locked off the mail slot beside it. I asked the clerk about it, and she said it was because it was FULL OF PACKAGES. Because people were, ya know, using it.

And did I mention the crazy woman screaming at everyone not to line up too near to her?

One time I witnessed someone trying to shove a folded-up dollar bill into the slot on a stamp machine where the stamps come out.
