Sorries we haven't been blogging much, but tikis like to sleep very very much.

So, yesterday was the first official day of Celebration Japan. Naturally, you always wonder how these things will go, first time in a new country. We walked out of our hotel and into the near end of the con center, out of the tropical heat. The first thing we noticed was that they'd finally turned on the air conditioning, yay! The SECOND thing we noticed was the line....

And line and line and line.

The doorway was chaos with media line up for the official ribbon cutting.

So we continued down (past more line) and finally got in through the loading dock.

First stop was the official Celebration Japan store. We bought stuffs, which we'll show in a bit, but we wanted to record this. So, this is right after we bought our stuff, and right before they started letting in the general public.

And then.....STAMPEDE!

That's right, everybody was rushing out of the line in the hallway and running to get into another line!! We were amazed at how quickly some of the limited items sold out.

Woah that looks massive. So the Celebration event sells limited merchandise of its own too? I knew that you had the medallions and things before but I didn't know it had things like shirts and books!

Good luck with getting more Stitches, I kept seeing little Stitches here at London Film and Comic Con but not to the extent you're finding them in Japan!

Oh, yeah, there's always a con store, plus several of the companies that set up here also have their own exclusives. And, they're selling out fast! I have some pictures of the list of exclusives, I'll try to put them up.

I didn't find any Stitch at all last time I was in London. They didn't even have anything at the Disney store!
