At last, the DVD box set

So, as you might recall, DVDs of Lilo & Stitch: the Series are finally being released. In Japan. On the bright side, if you have a region free DVD player, and know enough Japanese to navigate a DVD menu, you can watch in the original English.

Anyways, even before knowing about that, we went ahead and ordered from Amazon Japan, where it was relatively cheap (around 8000 yen).

This is the first of four planned box sets. When you set them all together on the shelf, the spines will form a picture!

But, let's break out the DVD's, shall we?

There's four DVDs, and each has 4 episodes.

Making a total of 16 episodes.

It's looks like one of the episodes is a secret.

We'll have to look at the DVD to see what it is.

The DVDs are all pretty. There's lots and lots of inserts!

As we've mentioned, this is the first of 4 planned DVD box sets.

This appears to be some kind of offer for pins. But, pins are evil. So let's just move along.

Looks like some kind of offer for Stitch stuffs.

A Dizzney channel promo.

Promos for Tokyo Disney, and the web site.

Ooo, and games!

Heh.
Should mention, you can also, of course, listen to the Japanese voice actors take on the episodes, which is a bit of fun - there are also English subtitles if you wanna watch those versions and compare.

Not sure if there's a permutation of English dialog with English subtitles though! I could take a look if you really wanna know. As for a release in English, I'd expect you'd get them sooner over in the UK than we'll ever do! I wish they would, because I'd love to hear commentary. But, in the US, we're *still* waiting for them to release the special edition of the original Lilo & Stitch movie!!!
