I started skimming through that this morning, and saw several familiar elements. I'm looking forward to reading it more closely later.

Yeah, and that refrigerator scene was complete bullshit.

Yeah, I've just been skimming whilst I'm trying to do 15 other things, but then I got to, "OMG it's THAT FRIDGE SCENE!"

My friend and I saw that movie, and I can't remember the total number of times that one of us leaned to the other and simply said "oh, bullshit." The refrigerator scene was probably the first. Some others that come to mind include: Shia swinging from the vines, the swordfight on the two trucks, and my personal favorite... Marion driving the truck over the cliff and conveniently landing on a tree that gently lowers the truck down into the water.

Oh, and I can't remember how many times one of us yelled out for Shia to take that damn leather jacket off. Jungles and water, and still that jacket. He was buff, yo! :)

Did Shia seem kinda miscast to you? He just seems very sweet, and I think they needed a bad boy type (like River Phoenix, RIP) for that role.

(And, yes, the George of the Jungle scene quite bothered me.)

Personally, I think he was fine. The script, however... not so much.

It's just... odd, since they were supposedly taking so long because they all wanted *the* perfect script.
