Mr. Tiki knows a guy....

So, Mr. Tikistitch knows a guy.

And, oddly enough, the guy makes toys.

Even more surprising, he sometimes makes Star Wars toys.

So, this evening, Mr. Tiki got a box. From the guy.

"What's in the big, big box, Mr. Tikistitch?" asked we.

"Stuff," he explained.



'Twas hardcopies. Mini mini hardcopies. Of the mini mini Star Wars toys they'd had at a fast food outlet, not so many years ago. Mini chubby hard copies of mini chubby Grievous and mini chubby Yoda and mini chubby Kit Fisto and mini chubby other squee-worthy suchlike.

"And," said Mr. Tikistitch, "that's not all...."




*faints*

oooo so lucky. i want to meet someone who makes toys. that would be a neat career. do you know if they make much money?

I'm sure the money is fine, the thing nowadays is, it's not terribly stable. Toy companies fail and get bought so often. And kids don't play with toys as much as they used to - they play with video games. A lot of the folks we know who do stuff like sculpting actually word as freelancers.

But, yeah, talking to folks who used to work for Kenner, it could be great fun.

That makes me so sad. Do you think collectors buying toys will be enough to keep them in business? Or will we soon be buying everything from Japan? Not that we don't now heh.

Mini Chubby Grievous is the best! A friend of mine gave me one, and he looks SO annoyed. "Curses! My lightsabers are too short!!"
