Some pictures from Ukraine, where, as you'll recall, creepy assholes robbed us and stole our camera.

Showing typical Soviet-era modesty, this statue from Kiev is probaby 10 kajillion feet tall (according to the google, that's 102 meters).

You get to the area by walking past a sort of museum for armaments, including this puzzling "Push Me Pull You" tank - for if you're attacked from behind?

Then you get to the actual square. Ever get the feeling that somebody was compensating for something?

There's also a lot of more normal-sized statues of various soldiers.

We liked these Grateful Dead tanks.

Mr. Tiki noticed they're not painted on the reverse side though.

And finally, you exit through a tunnel, lovingly decorated with this Frieze. We can't read Ukranian, but we think it's titled something like, "The Chippendales guys go to war!"

I do like the tanks.

We can't read Ukranian, but we think it's titled something like, "The Chippendales guys go to war!"
This is even funnier because I watched The Full Monty again last night.

This statue is holding a 60-foot high sword straight up, and then you go into a dark underground tunnel, full of naked guys....it's difficult to convey to full effect!!

I'm going to second the comment about compensating and add that that guy in the middle looks like he's going for some kind of Rambo look.

Ha ha, check the position of the GUN on the guy who's kneeling. Compensating, much?

Also, is that guy in the back doing jazz hands? Why, I do believe he is!
