Before we get to our ramblings 'round the Stitch store, we'd like to dedicate this post to our BRAND NEW NIECE, LOLA!
Yeah, you heard it, L-O-L-A, Lola.
Lo lo lo la Lola.....
And, no, we have no idea if there's any relation to the beloved Kinks song. Our bro-in-law is known to be a huuuuuuge Stones fan, so the child should probably be grateful she's not named Jack Flash, or some such.
And now, on to business. Our French Guest remarked upon the changes in our house in the two years since he last visited Our Humble Abode. "Eet ees empressive. Zere ees much more Steetch!"
And so, we bundle Mad Frenchman and Mr. Tikistitch into the Tikimobile late late last night (or rather, early this morning) and whisked them off to SeaTac, thus to begin their madcap Star Wars adventures, stalking ex-Kenner employees.
Mr. Tikistitch left a little "present" in our trunk:

"Oh, I was looking for those!" he remarked when we called him. Yes, despite having literally several *thousand* examples of Star Wars food packaging strewn around the Bobacabana, Mr. Tikistitch recalls each and every example as if they were his own little Woklings.
We then dropped off 4 or 5 or 6 or 27 of Mr. Tikistitch's eBay packages at our local deranged post office.
And finally, OFF TO THE STITCH STORE!!!
omahastar had warned us that there was much newness chez Dizzney, but we were completely unprepared for the mass of summer merchandise, particularly because it's been pouring f'ing rain here for the last few days.
Our first reaction, sadly, was massive disappointment. The new floor set is centered around some magnificient beach chairs and beach umbrellas, NONE OF WHICH FEATURES STITCH!! However, we shunted our rage aside, and bravely dove into shoppin'.

The bestest we've saved for first, a teeny tiny Stitchie glitter globe.

And a little grinning Stitchie on a finger skateboard. Coolness, ne?

Oddly, there was only one new plushie, the lovely graduation Stitch beanbag. There have of course been numerous previous depictions of Stitch in mortarboard. THIS TIME, however, he was clever enough to snatch a diploma. What do you s'pose was our favorite alien's major? Extraterrestrial Communications?
There was also a Lilo & Stitch picture frame, which we spurned, for the time being, although we could not resist the Stitch beach towel (they were 2 for $25!!!).
This, of course, was the find of the trip:

A Lilo & Stitch punching bag!!!! Oddly Pleakley-shaped, we at Tikistitch Labs promise a full and thorough consumer testing of this item in the near future!
We also glimpsed multiple items featuring solely Our Gal, Lilo, including a little vinyl bag, teeny plastic flip-flops, and a little visor. We were captivated by this item:

This is a set of interlocking pads which one can set out in replication of a hopscotch course (like so). Despite the markings on the box, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DEPICTION of Stitch in any way, shape or form that we can determine. Payback for all the "Lilo & Stitch" items which have omitted Lilo over the years? Hmmmm...
