Stitch & Angel are all dressed up traditional style, no doubt for one of Japan's seemingly endless festivals.
The sharp-eyed amongst you will note that they carry bags....

Lookee what's inside the bag: CANDY!! Yay!!!

Not sure if it's Shichi-go-san (we got to see that fest when we wuz in Japan, and it's like the cutest thing in the entire universe, with gazillions of little bitty kids wrapped up in kimono), or something else. We do know the Fun*Fan*Amuse on the tag means these were most likely UFO catcher prizes.

Date: 2008-02-20 10:40 pm (UTC)I can't tell if Stitch and Angel are dressed for any specific holiday. Girl's Day would be about right given the cherry blossoms on Angel's kimono, but the tag says "haregi" or "celebratory/fancy clothes" rather than "hinamatsuri". Puzzling!

Date: 2008-02-21 01:00 am (UTC)Kinako is the yums, but for me only if it's around some kind of light mochi. NOT chocolate. Ewww, I don't think I want to even go there.
Kinako is roasted soy bean flour.

It looks kinda like a mini rice crispie treat, only candy, and tastes kinda bean-paste-y. (Yeah, I tasted - for SCIENCE!)
