I like her, which is why I am sharing. OTOH, I'm quite sure I would be massively bored attending one of your womens business meetings. Chacun à son goût. :-)
Now, now, Tiks, not everyone adores all characters... I've always been undecided about Pucca, myself. But those shoes are freaking awesome. I'm pretty sure my current favs are still Gloomy Bear and of course, Kuromi, who was MASTERFULLY designed for my demographic. "Here, little addicts," Sanrio lovingly cooed, "Have a pink and black gothic lolita bunny... thing. Eh, we don't know, she's evil and stuff. There you go."
Seriously, I love my Kuromi-image merch so much it's a little disturbing. Particularly since I've never liked My Melody all that much. I HAVE WASHCLOTHS!
I dragged Boneboy around the local HK store last weekend, bitching all the while about the scarcity of domestic Kuromi merch, when we espied a what had to be a 6' plushie of Herself, flopped behind the checkout counter.
"She'd totally fit in my car!" Boneboy nudged. BUT, I resisted.
I'm now wondering if the BTSSB Westernsize is gonna be another "one size fits all" dealo, and if so, what the heck the size is gonna be. Some of the Japanese clothes I have are "size free," which translates to about the square acreage of a postage stamp.
Honestly, I don't know! In fairness, Baby is NOT the smallest of the small when it comes to lolita brands -- I have chunky friends who can fit into many of their items. Heck, I can fit into Metamorphose items at my current measurements... not, you know, WELL, but I can fit into them.
Considering a lot of the items are like, skirts and jumpers, onesize fits more of a range than, say, pants. I just don't know, though; they seem to be advertising very aggressively in the western market ATM (I have a print ad in my magazine, too) so it's possible they'll have multiple sizes, if they really want to sell to the western crowd. I'd imagine someone would've advised them about that, somewhere along the line.
Dunno. As "fat rant" contrary as it may seem, I'm not going to be all that miffed if the Japanese brand's westernsize fails to offer 3X, although it would be nice if they did. I imagine there'll at least be a skirt I can get. :3
