Mr. Tiki has landed
Jan. 5th, 2008 01:24 pmMr. Tiki has arrived, thus marking the first time any citizen of Casa de Tikistitch has travelled to the Indian continent.
For those keeping track, Hyderabad is in a time zone thirteen AND A HALF hours ahead of Seattle.
Which means, Mr. Tiki is already in tomorrow.
India is weird.
Also also, for folks who inquired regarding the awesome-est hat in the entire universe, as it turns out, there was no pattern (it's OOAK, bitches!!!!) but here are Amy's helpful comments regarding The Creation:

The yarns were found at JoAnn Fabrics in Ballard.
And that the hat itself is just a basic hat pattern with 2 CH and 6 SC in the first hole increasing by 6 each round until the crown of the head. After that just SC in each hole and finish off.
The ears eyes and nose were done individually in the following: Periwinkle outer ears with dips (2), pink inner ears with matching dips and sized slightly smaller than the outer ears (2), Turquoise eyes (2), Black eyes (2).
I used 20 gauge Beadsmith craft wire that I got at a bead store and wove the wire through the edge of the pink ears. Then I stitched the pink inner ear to the blue outer ear and sewed that to the cap.
The eyes were sewed together and then white was stitched on for the eye. Then the eyes were stitched to the hat. Finally I did the nose in a round increasing in a triangular shape and then reducing before finishing off. I stuffed this and stitched it to Stitch. Add a little tuft of yarn at the top for fur and it was done.
