...wow. I pretty much didn't see any 80's videos, growing up, because we didn't get cable out on the farm. So this was new. I kind of desperately want to dress a group of us like that, and to dance around madly, but I don't know that more than a dozen people would recognize us, and I don't have enough, ah, firmness to get away with wearing a plastic bag. Even if there's shoulderpads involved. o.O
True story: my parents finally got cable the week after I moved out! But then me and all my friends basically had MTV on 24/7, so I made up for it. I probably still have residual brain damage from all those hair metal videos. I think you and your friends would be cute all dancing around in trash bags!!
*laugh* My folks got satellite not long after my brother (the youngest) left, much to our consternation. I did see some early 90's videos, courtesy of a friend who went to college and periodically taped MTV (when they still played videos) for me, but apart from a "best of" here and there, my 80's video knowledge is sadly lacking. I shall go to the YouTubes to fix it!
I actually know just the group of friends to pitch the song and dance idea to, as they've performed a number of routes from High School Musical (you have no idea how amused they were by the Stitch video from earlier!)...and I've signed on for one of them for this summer's luau. I will provide pictures and video if it happens, promise!
