Midnight Madness!
Apr. 2nd, 2005 10:34 amSomehow, Tikistitch ended up inside Walmart at midnight last night.
Click below for the terryifying tale.
WARNING: Image intensive, and probably not interesting to the non-Star Wars obsessive.
Boneboy picked us up in the Tikimobile, and we sped north. Our quest: big box shoppin' goodness!

The famous Star Wars tent, set up in the parking lot for a Walmart "tent event." We were horrified.

An hour early for Midnight Madness, and there's already a line?

Yes indeedy, snaking through half the toy section.

The Star Wars merchandise had all been blocked off through clever use of a tarp. Walmart is such a class act.

Ooo, this looks official!
Boneboy asked why we were skulking around with our digital camera. We told him, "Because, if an employee sees you taking pictures, they'll MAKE UP A RULE that there are no pictures in Walmart." He looked confused.
Finally, with the help of approximately 16 Walmart staff, the tarp is removed, and SQUEEEEE.....

STAR WARS GOODNESS!! Oh, boy.

Note the decimation to the stock!
At this point, a Walmart employee saw us taking a photo, and boldly declared. "Ma'am! No photos!"
Oooo, we hates it when they call us "Ma'am." So we kept taking pictures. Just to be an asshole.

Later, Boneboy is well pleased with his haul!

But where is Mr. Tikistitch? His cart is here, arranged in a neat, obsessive-compulsive way.

Aiiiiiiiii!!! Panic on Aisle 10!! They're restocking the cereals!! Mr. Tikistitch is on the job.
And then....off to Toys R Us! But that's a tale for another day. We finally tottered home, the Tikimobile stuffed full of action figures and dolls and Frosty Flakes and M&Ms and suchlike, at 3 am, Pacific Time.
POSTSCRIPT. And where are Mr. Tikistitch and his faithful sidekick Boneboy, right at this moment? Why they lit off before the crack of dawn this morning, to shop for more toys!!!!!
