If you stick this one out, there will be a video at the end. Of course, you could just cheat and click ahead, but where's the fun in that?

So, tiki is one of those people who hopes desperately that marketing genii from Japan never, ever immigrate to the USA, as we find ourselves absolutely unable to resist their entreaties, even when given in a language we don't understand.
Case in point, this new item from Tomy.

Are you getting tired of seeing photos of all our shipping cartons? Yeah, we thought so.
This seems to be something like, "Ukiuki Wakuwaku present." Which, is just kind of awesome.

Anyways, enough playing with the box, let's look at the toy. Oh, wait, not yet, we have to look at the puzzling insert.

Here's the toy. Or rather, the packaging. Which is actually even better.

See? It's supposed to kajillions of neat stuff.

If only we can find the instructions.

Oh there they are.
Twenty short minutes later....Yeah, we finally had to actually turn off Project Runway, cause we couldn't concentrate hard enough with undoing all the twisties and threads and tape and whatevers that held the Stitchie in place. We swear.
And....we finally figured out what he does. Well, kinda. You can see on the video. You may think this is the cutest thing ever, or you may find it funny, or completely disturbing. It's like Obi-Wan says, all depends on your point of view. Anyways, we got our Stitchie to babble in Japanese, and then eat an ice cream cone! But see for yourself.
We thinks he's calling himself "Steetchie," which is totally cute.
Kinda disappointing when your plush toy speaks better Japanese than you do, but tiki's a good American, and it's kind of par for the course.
