...and other life lessons.

So, 'twas our French people's last evening in Seattle last night. We went out to a local dining spot near the Aquarium.

It features lots of tacky kitschy cool.

Kinda grumpy waiters.

But, a pretty decent view.

The Frenchman had been talking about dessert here for days. "They 'ave beeg ice cream!"

Documenting the absurdity of American cuisine.

And yes, they finished it. Every drop.

"Han Solo is looking a little paunchy, mon chere."

Mon Dieu!

The Frenchman's gf is looking at the ice cream as if it were going to bite her.

Next time the Frenchman comes & you guys take in down to SoCal - we *must* take him to Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour & order him The Zoo! Or the Pig's Trough!

I tried to explain the concept of Farrell's to him ("You eat big food! And they make fun of you!") but I don't think he got it. I must say he seems to be doing well on his own getting a ton of bad stuff to eat.

I've never been able to have dessert in any American restaurant I've been to... I'm always WAY too full to even think about dessert after eating half of my dish ! So I'm impressed by my compatriot's courage !

Me neither--the other night, I ate so much sushi, I literally thought I was going to explode, and then he insisted on going to Dilettante's for cheesecake. Philip is like a bottomless pit. He said he gained 5 kilos on this trip!
