There's a Paris Hilton Blythe doll? Not that we don't love the teensy doggies, but, we mean, you know who this is supposed to resemble. It's like, ew.

You know that I think Blythe dolls are ugly and freakish-looking, right? There's NO WAY that could be Paris Hilton. It looks far too cute and human. Also, its hair looks far less synthetic. :p

I have this doll, she's very, very kawai cutesy pie... She doesn't look the slightest bit like a Paris Hilton inspired critter. And she's not the first Blythe to own a chi. Over The Stripes that was released in '04, I think, already had one !

Yeah, I second this. To be honest, Tiks, I think you're reaching -- I REALLY don't think she's supposed to be Paris Hilton. The whole "cute little dog" thing is far too trendy in ALL the countries; it's supposed to represent the cutesy girl trend, sure, but not Paris herself. I don't see it. There was just a Pullip with fashionably-cute clothes and dog-in-carrier, Alte, I think, recently. And friggin My Scene Barbies all had mini-dogs, including a chihuahua with the blonde, for like, four or five years now.

Blythou -- I thought OTS had a Boston Terrier... I can't decide which way would make it cuter. ;9

I don't think everyone with a chihuahua, or all chihuahua related merch, is supposed to be one big homage to Paris Hilton, though. I mean, I OWN ONE, and I carry him around in a pink carrier/snugli/fashionable carrier. If Google had existed in the late nineties, and you Googled "chihuahua," you would've gotten the Taco Bell Dog, which I think people associate with chis way more than they think of Tinkerbell or whichever dog she has now.

And let's not forget the fact that there are all KINDS of Japanese crochet/knitting/accessory craft books for TINY DOGS. :D (I read in some article that since women are getting married less, not wanting to give up careers, the tiny dogs are becoming baaaaaaaabies. But I can't cite my sources, so.)

If the doll had bright bleached hair or a darker skintone, or both, I would totally admit the possibility -- as it is, I think you're really just biased by your dislike of Paris. Of course, if she DID have blonde hair and a tan, um, I would kind of HAVE to buy her: Blythe is like the opposite of Paris Hilton (round faced and big-eyed) but I happen to know a round-faced, big-eyed, blonde, tanned girl who had a chihuahua. ;D
