The site was taking woefully long to load, but it eventually did.
Apparently it's a musical virtual pet-critter. You interact with it by petting it or cruelly torment it by poking its tail, and you "feed" it by talking to it or letting it listen to music. It communicates with you via patterns of colored LED lights and shaking its head and moving its ears... and if you plug it into a music source (presumably the iPod will work for this), it can become a speaker, and will move its head and blink its lights while playing the music.
And it sings you lullabies when it's feeling sleepy.
