These gashapon are from Tokyo Dizzyland's Find Stitch event.

As gashapon go, they're on the warm and fuzzy side--there's only three in the set, and they're not in blind boxes. There's even one with a tiki Stitch! So, why don't we have actual pictures? Er, because we'd have to actually open the boxes.

Maybe we'll buy another set?

*gah*

Interesting that the Tiki Float has "Tiki" written as "chiki" (チキ) instead of the katakana-ized "tiki" (チィキ). Technically "chi" is "ti" in Japanese; it only sounds like "chi" to our ears. But usually they would fake an English "ti" in katakana like that, in words such as "party" (パーティー).

Maybe because the word "tiki" doesn't come from English, they feel no obligation to force the English pronunciation on it, especially as there's no possible confusion of the sound with any other Hawaiian sound.

But unless one knows how the Japanese "ti/chi" character sounds, writing your name without the forced "ti" would come out sounding like "Cheeky Stitch!" heheh...
