No, we're not sure either.

This one's definitely a light bulb--if you pull out the little plastic tab, it even blinks.

EDIT: We checked current Yahoo auctions, and Tiki's Action Truth Squad was correct, these are supposed to be mayo dispensers. They're also supposedly "RARE!" Wonder what the J-equivalent of "L@@K!" is?

Looks like... Kewpie brand Mayonnaise?

I was just gonna suggest that if nobody had beaten me to it! The plastic bag with the characteristic red mesh pattern, the shape of the bottle... that could only be the mayonnaise in the bottle that squishes like a teddy bear.

I'm not sure if I'll ever be *that* curious! Scary.

Seriously, it's very tasty! It's excellent with fried-up stuff, such as curry croquettes purchased from whatever Japanese grocery store is nearby (if there is one) and with hamburgers and stuff. It's even good on tacos.

Ah.

Ew.

I really need to start actually *reading* the auction descriptions sometimes, ya know.

It is one of the most aesthetically pleasing mayonnaise bottles around. The one at my grandma's house used to squeeze out in a star shape... I don't know if that's standard for all Kewpie bottles, though. The downside, of course, is that I don't really like mayo. :p

In Japan, it seems sometimes mayonnaise ends up in unexpected places...like pizzas....

Reminds me of the time I was visiting a friend's relatives in England. She made us French toast for breakfast. Of course, she had no syrup. So we then completely horrified her by putting jam on it.
