We wanted to share some images from the fabulous Disney presentation at Star Wars celebration.

First, understand we're not exaggerating when we relate what a marvelous experience it was. We've experienced Star Wars collectibles tracks since the Inky Dawn of Celebration, when hapless presenters were literally standing on the flatbed of a truck waving their action figures at mud-soaked passers by.

But at C IV, collectibles came of age, and for our friends from the Mouse, the room was packed, and the audience was psyched.

And, need we mention, there was Stitch???

We've of course all got our Emperor Stitch pins by now, but a joyous yelp went out when it was announced that there would be actual action figures to follow. O joy!

Here's the second wave.

We think Yoda is a bit more appropriate a character for Stitch.

Also also, a CCG.

Featuring, yes, more Emperor Stitch. We're trying to imagine Stitch trying to talk like Emperor Palpatine. What if Emperor Stitch fought Yoda Stitch? Who would win?

And, just because we love 'em, the new line o' potato heads. Yes, there will be Boba!

Dang, I'm gonna have to go to Disney World again next year 0_o Those are fantastic!

The Potato heads are ever so addictive as it is too... the smart thing to do is buy a 6 dollar regular Mr.P, and stuff the box with parts.

NEED. THESE.

Man, our trade contact says he can't get them for us. We're totally gonna have to go to Disney just for toys, aren't we.

Park only. The only ray of sunshine for me was they said they were talking about possibly having some W. coast Star Wars weekends.

OMG when are these set to release? I've yet to buy the first set of Jedi Mickey and Yoda because its a bit pricey, plus I need two sets. But I'm all over these.

Ya know, that was the one thing I forgot to take note of--release dates. Looks like the first set is coming this year, since they've already got prototypes.

I ride the bus with the people who make Star Wars. I deeply fear Darth Maul Duck.

There is something so sublimely wrong about all of these... and yet some of them are quite cute. But I concur with [livejournal.com profile] middle_savagery, Darth Maul Duck is teh fear.

I understand that there will someday soon also be Muppet Star Wars action figures!

Why is Mickey Anakin, but then Goofy is Vader?

They actually explained this--Goofy is Vader because he's *tall*.

And Mickey can only be "good" characters (they had made a beanie of Darth Mickey)--so he's Anakin before his turn to the Dark Side.
