These might not be tarako. 'Cause they're yellow. But, whatever.

I think they're kazunoko, which... damned if I can remember which fish they're from, but they're usually pickled in a sort of soy brine and served at New Year's as a symbol of fertility. They're crunchy, whereas tarako are squishy!

Oh god, I miss my mom's cooking. :/
