So, basically, last night we went to the opening ceremonies, and Steve Sansweet dressed like an Ewok, which was teh funny, but then the LA Mayor with a plaque and the City Council representative with another plaque and then a middle manager from the post office and we were in danger of biting our own leg off when.....they announced CAKE FOR EVERYBODY YAY!

But, when they got to tiki's row, we were totally Office Spaced. No cake for tiki? Finally Boneboy and Kurt ran over to get us pieces and then more pieces. Only then Mr. Tiki and Duncan decided, OMG, this is Star Wars 30th anniversary cake--we must collect it! In all the variations. And so...

Waow ! Collecting cake ? Now that's more difficult to save than your regular collectibles... I guess there's probably a way to totally dry out the cake, remove the cream which might turn it into a rotting piece of memorabilia and then, preserving it under a layer of varnish of some kind !

wow those are neat! Sean went after our pieces as well, (I think that was commen with the folks in the middle of each row to run out) so he snagged a couple off one of the carts, but they didn't have anything on them than that yummy frosting.. I split the layers of cake (2 layers equals small bites) to make it last longer. It was good.. the frosting will rot though if he doesn't freeze it).
