Hasbro's newest Star Wars action figure--Stitch!

Yes, really.

The Dizzney panel at Celebration IV was absolutely packed--even the very nice presenters (who'd evidently flown all the way from Mouse Home Base in Florida) were a bit taken aback by the enthusiasm present at a con where people run around dressed as Wookiees. Anyways, they presented concepts for some upcoming Star Wars/Dizzney crossover figures, such as yet more successors to the popular Darth Spud (including a Boba Fett) all named with terrible puns.

We'd come ready to convert them to the Cult of Stitch, but there was no need! Stitch is going to be all over upcoming Dizzney weekends. Besides Stitch as Emperor Palpatine, they're also planning on casting our little blue friend as our little green friend. As an action figure, of all things. We glee.

This is from some kind of CCG. There were some other great pairings as well, such as Goofy as JarJar. But Stitch is the best.

Speaking of crossovers, here's the Emperor Stitch pin we picked up at Dizzneyland on Tuesday. It's so full of wonderful, we also picked up one for Mr. Tiki and one for Boneboy and one for [livejournal.com profile] blythou and one for Duncan and one for...well, just about everybody needs an Emperor Stitch pin, isn't that true?

The evil of my Jedi Mickey needs to be opposed by a plushie of Emperor Stitch!

You know what was weird? People were asking about plushies or beanies, and the guys had no clue--I gues that's a totally different part of the company!!

I suppose so.... there's so much theme park merchandise, there'ld have to be different departments for some stuff. There's some beanies/plushes you'll only find in one place, and a whack of them are seasonal too [when we were down a few months ago, they had St.Patrick's Day stuff]

And then there's the entirely seperate Disney store division [I like how the theme park beanies are a different scale then the D-Store ones though ^_^]

Will there be Stitchwoks?

Will there be Stitchwoks?

Oh lord I hope not.

The worst thing I found at the Dizzney store was this glittery Stitch plushie you buy along with a little carrier handbag, so you can pretend you're Paris Hilton with a little foofy dog. Horrible.

I saw those in the Disney Pet themed store. I guess Disney is just logically adding Stitch to that range of merchandising.... they had Lady, Marie, Figaro, etc and had little hats and stuff for them. I feel sorry for the real pets whose people attempt to use the stuff on them.

I suppose with Stitch you just have to add an Ewok hood, and he could blend right in with them......
They could then make Stitchtroopers to oppose them.
