Guess this is public knowledge now that it's been posted on Rebel Scum. Basically, at a certain randomly selected collecting panels over the weekend, we're going to be distributing these original (and, need we mention, collectible) medallions. There will be 12 in the complete set, based on the original 12 action figures. Teh awesome, ne?
The link also includes a list of the panels. Needless to say, expect to see tiki in attendance at this one:
Disney Parks / Star Wars Toy Exclusives
Brad Schoeneberg and Cody Reynolds
This talk will cover the history of the relationship between Disney Parks Attractions and Lucasfilm, taking a look at current Disney on-property events, such as Star Wars Weekends and the Jedi Training Academy. This presentation will also provide details about how Disney characters are co-branded with Star Wars and why various characters were chosen, and a look at the new product exclusives planned for 2007. Collectors will also be able to see a sneak peak of concept artwork for new items considered for 2008.
Needless to say, we'll be lobbying for some crossover items featuring a certain Dizzney character.

Date: 2007-05-16 11:30 pm (UTC)I really wish I'd gotten the Darth Goofie when I saw it [ps-- I nabbed some of the ride based figures last year, but this year, they were gone. Lots of Indy figures though]

Date: 2007-05-16 11:34 pm (UTC)Hahahaha! In Ye Olde Dayse, Mr. Tikistitch used to have Star Wars diaramas, using vintage action figures and sets, all around our apartment, including the Cantina. Once when he went on a trip, he returned home and somehow, Marvin the Martian had been added to the Cantina crowd.
