Another Kuromi Stitch--but is Angel supposed to be My Melody?

We like the Scrump picture in place of Kuromi's skull.

I love My Melody to pieces, but I think the bunny ears + Angel ears + Angel deedlybobs are way too much. Couldn't they have just threaded Angel's ears through My Melody's red hood and be done with it?
