(The perils of reading one's list backwards! I'm not trying to start a discussion or anything, due to differing moralities and whatnot, but I just simply get boggles by gun/drug/healthcare/etc. statistics comparing the US to other countries -- since I've seen a lot that DON'T adjust for population/urban areas. And as one-time stats nerd, that always weirded me out. Sure Canada is more peaceful... Canada is also mostly frozen wasteland and/or farms...)
(not that we aren't more violent, sex-hating, Christian, etc. etc. disclaim disclaim, but it's no wonder the field of statistics gets a bad name sometimes! NOOOOOO I LOVE THEM SO)
I'm through discussing, actually. If the gun nuts think it's hunky dory for an insane person to stroll into a gun shop in Virginia and buy an assault weapon so he can go kill cheerleaders, then I say, take 'em all away. All of 'em. All the handguns. Bring on the Black Helicopters.
