Strange ... I've seen them leaving their litter at private homes before. Usually they try to apprehend you on a street corner in a commercial area.

When I used to work at the downtown library, they'd set up their table right in front of the door. Us librarians, being a mostly liberal and highly intelligent tribe, found great amusement in going down there to mess with them.

OK, when they do those tables, why do they NEVER jsut spring for $3.50 and go to Kinko's and get a nicely printed sign, but instead scrawl out their incoherent ravings about Dick Cheney in BLUE MAGIC MARKER which only makes them look even more completely batshit? Do they *want* us to snicker?

I think they enjoy getting mocked and challenged in a perverse sort of way. It gives the a martyr complex and makes them feel special. Plus if everyone disagrees with them, then it just makes them feel all the more "right" and holders of the one truth. Sorta like religious cultists.

Did I mention that when I went to the post office recently, I saw a bunch of greezer Larouchies setting up shop? What is it lately that's made 'em come out of the woodwork again?

Around here, they seem to be feeding off the pervasive anti-Cheney and anti-war sentiment. I mean, sure, I completely agree Cheney is the most evil man in the galaxy, but that doesn't make Lyndon larouche any less batshit.
