If a tree falls, and you don't wake up to hear it....

So, when we got up this morning, we noticed a traffic cone blocking off our street.

Of course, being nosy, we went to investigate.



Let's see, record-breaking rains + winds up to 60 mph = smashie.





Happened at about 1:30 am, according to neighbors.



Alas, poor Silverado!



This was three houses (and four trees) down from Casa de Tikistitch. Actually, we were lucky the tree fell exactly as it did, or it would have taken out the power lines, or somebody's front porch.

A tree fell on our house and took out three rooms when we lived in Bremerton when I was a kid. I later went into my room to save my dollies and get some clothes. THEN I broke out in hives all over the next day because the ant powder that was in the room had apparently gotten into my room.

So yes, I'm glad you and your house and your Stitchies were safe.
