As some of you might recall, in 1999, the troubled toy retailer, Toys R Us, threatened us with a cease and desist letter over Mr. Tiki's domain name, toysrgus.com. He shut down the Star Wars Collectors Archive for a few days, but after consideration of TRU's legal case (or lack thereof), we reopened the site.

Well, seven years later, they're at it again. So, Mr. Tiki has decided to move the Archive to a new domain, theswca.com. Please update your bookmarks. And shop at Target.

I generally avoid Toys "R" Us, anyway. Especially this time of year. The stores are full of rambunctious, uncontrolled children and the floors are sticky.

Reminds me of the local woman here whose custom clothes shop, Barbie's Shop (her real name IS Barbie) was threatened by Mattel.

I sympathize with Mr.Tiki. If people are that stupid to confuse toysrgus with a giraffe, that's their own problem.

Toys R Us has totally lost me as a customer now. It's been a long time since I've felt comfortable there; they stopped carrying Breyers, and if you go in there and are an adult without a kid in tow, the employees will follow you around because you are OBVIOUSLY OMG SHOPLIFTING. This is the last straw, though. Sucks to be you, TRU!
