Ah! See, deer in the Northwest are like kamakaze deer. Late at night, when you're driving along the road, they'll stand by the side and literally leap *into* the roadway when they see you coming.
I guess it all depends where you live down here. A couple of years ago one of my friends who lives in a more southern part of the state had a kamakaze deer jump in front of her and smash one of her headlights. We think it lived too! O_O
