Well there's a childhood mnemonic shot to hell. "Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto" = "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine . . ." Nine what? This just will not do!
Actually, Keeper heard that they're (astronomers?) saying that there's now 16 planets? Or was it 14? Anyway, apparently they're counting a couple of moons and asteroids as planets now.
You know, I actually thought of Pluto the DOG first, because just before I saw this post, I was looking at a Goofy pin. Heh. It doesn't help that Superman died in that one comic book when I was a kid. Because of that I started thinking all cartoon characters can die.
