Is this a Japanese product, or one from elsewhere?

If it's Japanese, the last one could be for sesame seeds, or shichimi-togarashi. Or... I think there are a few sprinkly condiments you can put in shakers.

Because my parents are Japanese, I grew up assuming Ajinomoto was just another Japanese condiment/spice. I was mildly horrified when a classmate (also Japanese) casually mentioned, "You know that Ajinomoto is just MSG, right?"

"What? WHAT?! My parents have been adding MSG to my food? The same MSG that Chinese restaurants proudly claim not to use? AIE!"

I've calmed down since then, but I'm still spooked when I see heartwarming Japanese ads for Ajinomoto. "Awww, grandpa is working hard in the sugarcane fields to... help Ajinomoto make MSG for his grandchildren??"
