I've been meaning to get a new uke for ages. Does it seem like a solid instrument, or just a fun toy with the characters stamped on it?

It's a toy. They're in made in Hong Kong, so I'd imagine you could pick one up for around $25 in Japan or elsewhere in Asia.

I guess why they spelt "ukurere" - they don't have the 'l-syllables' in the Japanese alphabet, so they'll make do with the 'r-syllables'. Still good fun!
