Nowadays, we gotta go all the way to Tacoma for a decent Stitch store. Which, though it is a pleasant drive in top-down weather, kind of limits our visits to weekend days.

CHICAGO, May 18 (Reuters) - Children's Place Retail Stores Inc. (PLCE.O: Quote, Profile, Research) reported higher first-quarter profit on Thursday, helped by strong sales at its namesake children's clothing chain and at its Disney stores.

The company's 2004 acquisition of the mall-based Disney store chain has helped boost results, and it has said it plans to add more stores.
