Totoco redux
Nov. 26th, 2005 01:39 pm
Having already packed and shipped eight boxes of Stitchies and various other ephemera to ourselves in the USA, we were reluctant to give Totoco another crack. However, the always optimistic Mr. Tikistitch insisted that any shop closed on a Friday must as a corollary be open the next Saturday.

Woo-hoo!

Now, imagine all the Totoco special dolls ever....

....and going on and on, to infinity and beyond....

...and all in a place the size of your dorm room.

The proprietor--we didn't get a picture, but he's standing on stacks and stacks and stacks of Jenny catalogs.
Also, speaking of closet-sized retail specialty stores in Japan, we got to revisit Star Cases. We're not sure of the area, but it's near the Koenji subway stop, which is awfully difficult to get to on a Saturday.

Star Wars pachinko! Sigh.

Mr. Tiki signs autographs (no kidding!) for the Japan branch of his mighty fan club.

Boba in his finery.

...and if you've read this far, here's a snap of Beans magazine Blythe dolls from Yamashiroya.
Also, we've collected a Japanese cold. *sniff*

Date: 2005-11-27 03:59 pm (UTC)It's Mr. Tiki's site. He is godlike among Star Wars collecting otaku.
Mr. Tiki manages engineers, and Tikistitch is a Scientist. We both spent many years eating ramen and working on PhDs.
