We'd surely get one if it came equipped with the doggies.
I'd buy one in a minute, 'specially if it included those doggies!
Cute as that is, if you've every driven a car with a dog as co-pilot, you know that having them stay in the place proscibed is unrealistic. No matter where I put them, my dogs would scramble over everything to get to their favourite spot in the car: my lap. Every dog I had did that. And just you try to drive with a a full grown fox terrier in your lap!

ROTFL.
That's true. Except for an odd little Shi Tzu my parents owned (who was perfectly content to sleep on the floorboards), every single dog I've ever known has been thrown into the puppy equivalent of a Grand Mal seizure at even the *prospect* of riding in a car. So, maybe the Hondas were designed for excruciatingly well behaved Japanese dogs? I dunno.
Every do I had loved riding in cars. Cissy, the fox terrier, not only wanted in my lap, but she wanted to sit erect so that she could also stick her head out the window and therefore drape her body over my left arm.
For a while, when I had smaller dogs and the old Nova (a.k.a. the Titanic), I had a break of sorts because the front seat was all one bench, driver and passenger. Doggies couldn't make it past that to the front seat. Every other car I've had had an armrest between the seats that the dogs easily got through to my lap. (BTW: I'm currently dogless.)
