If you have a hankering for some water with that fresh, wet-doggie tast, then why not try Stitchie spring water?
( it's the water )
The Gothy Five
Aug. 24th, 2007 11:04 amImagine you are on your deathbed. Recommend to those who remain in your life...
Well, that's cheerful!
We refuse to take this seriously. Sorry, EmoKiddies.
1) One book to read.
Lately, there's two that have made an impression, The Ruby Slippers of Oz and Vinyl Junkies. Both are about collectors--movie props and viny records, respectively. Sorry, it's not the most deathless prose, so English majors will be disappointed. Both books kind of ramble and are chockablock with anecdotes. But they do something quite wonderful. It's not a "sympathetic" (read: patronizing) take on collectors, it's a take by collectors. tiki collects neither live action movie props nor (at least currently) vinyl record albums, but we know and love (or at least know) a lot of the characters who populate both books.
2) One movie to watch.
One movie? Here's my deathbed advice: watch more than one movie. Geez.
3) One food to eat.
Go spend an evening at Quanjude and let them serve you Beijing Duck. All they do all day, and all they've been doing all day, every day, since 1864, is roast duck and serve duck dinners to hungry people. It's their mission. Indulge them.
4) One place to go.
No specific place, but at least go to one place where you need a visa and don't speak the language and maybe need shots and have to drive on the wrong side of the road not wearing seatbelts. You need to go places like that.
5) One life lesson to leave behind.
The beer is better almost everywhere outside the USA.

Dizzney Stores = a mess

We haven't been into a Dizzney store in a dogs age, seeing as there's no Stitch.
When we have gone into the new TCP Dizzney stores, they just seemed kind of awful, just messy and full of nothing we'd want to buy.
Though, to be fair, we've no clue on who makes the decisions about what to stock, TCP of The Mouse.
(Emphasis added.)
Ooooo. We hope this means more Stitchies. Because, really, that's what it's all about.
When we were in Shanghai, we went with Mr. Tikistitch to this amazing children's store, where every section of the store was dedicated to a different license. So, there was a section that was all SpongeBob stationery products, and another that was all Teletubbies clothing, and a few different sections on different floors for various Disney products. It was pretty mind-blowing, especially since we didn't expect to find hardly any licensed goods in China.
Children's Place Misses Disney Deadlines
Children's Place in Talks With Disney to Postpone Remodeling Deadlines
SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) -- The Children's Place Retail Stores Inc. said Thursday it missed several deadlines to remodel and refresh numerous stores in the Disney Store chain and expects to miss more deadlines.
Under a long-term license agreement with Walt Disney Co., Children's Place operates the Disney Store retail chain in the U.S. and Canada. On June 8, Children's Place agreed to an amended license deal that included a timetable to renovate and upgrade hundreds of Disney stores.

The company said it is in talks with Disney to postpone the due dates of some of the remodeling obligations. In consideration for the changes, the companies have also discussed additional changes to the original license agreement, including allowing Disney to relocate its flagship store in Manhattan.
The companies are also considering loosening restrictions on Disney's ability to grant direct licenses to other retailers, so that they apply only to retailers primarily focused on selling children's merchandise.
