If one were to explain, one would be hard pressed to explain just how awesome tiki's life has been this past day. First, we started in Commieland, ie, the Kremlin, and it just got better.

We didn't actually get intoLenin's final resting place yet. As with so many things in Russia, first you must stand in a line. Then the line gets you to another line, where you go through a metal detector. Then sundry lines to check your camera, and then you get to line up to see our comrade.

Duncan and Anne had to leave our happy party yesterday. We were sad, as they'd rather go to a nice hotel in Helsinki than get their feet dirty in the Godzilla Hostel shower room. But, before we left St. Pete, Duncan scored some very silly toys--a Yoda and a Commie-red Chewie. Good score, old pirate!

Yes, we are in Moskva staying at Godzilla's Hostel. In a dorm room full of Star Wars fanatics.

We told Wombat Mark that Russia is a lot like Australia. 'Cause Australia is famous for stuffs like the Really Big Pineapple (which we understand sadly fell over) and the Big Barramundi and such like. In Moscow, it's the way big cannon, and also the way big bell, which was evidently too fucking big to ever ring. We told Mark, "It's the big bell that was so fat and stupid that it couldn't ring." He decided this is a splendid idea for a children's book which will be extremely popular in Australia, so if you see "The Big Bell That Was So Fat and Stupid That It Couldn't Ring," by Dr. Pamela Green, it's actually by Mark, but it was totally our idea.

Saw these guys just outside of Red Square. They were waving a red flag, and had a big old picture of Lenin's smiling kisser. Check it: they want to bring back Communism! It would be scary, except it's actually kind of cute and funny. Tourists listened politely, like you would to your cranky old uncle when he has a couple beers and starts to talk about flouridation.
