That one had me puzzled too! I *think* they were trying to make the distinction between people you'd friended, and people who friended you back, if that makes any sense?
And for those who don't have paid accounts, go to your friends list, then on the address bar, type an extra "friends" after friends shows and you'll see it.
It does, cuz it's talking about friend-of, not friends-of-friends ..
You don't have any, though, and I don't think I have any (last I checked) ... Here's what I mean -- When I "friend" you, I showed up on your list as "also friend of" .. Then you "friended" me back, so instead of being "also friend of", I became a "mutual friend" ...
Now, there are people, and I'll use my friend docbrite for example, who have a very small group of people they've "friended", and then a whole huge amount of people on their "also friend of" list. See what I mean?
Aha! So it was probably obscure to me since I generally friend back most everyone who friends me. (I'm needy like that.) My "friend of" list disappeared.

Date: 2005-09-27 11:37 am (UTC)http://yourname.livejournal.com/friendsfriends ... so for you, it's http://tikistitch.livejournal.com/friendsfriends ... On that screen, it's just like your friends page, but it includes not just them, but everybody that's on THEIR friends lists too.
And for those who don't have paid accounts, go to your friends list, then on the address bar, type an extra "friends" after friends shows and you'll see it.
Does that help?

Date: 2005-09-27 11:53 am (UTC)That's cool. I didn't know I could do that.
Thing is, if that's what they meant by friends of, this question doesn't really make sense to me:
I try to maintain an equal balance between my friend list and my friend-of list.
