The happy gigolo dance!



I am once again at a loss for words.

So, there's this girl, Isha. For reasons that are never particularly clear, she's got three different dudes after her (seriously, Problem Number One is that the two second lead girls are waaaaay more appealing). So, the first suitor is this rich dude, Yash, whom she turns down flat. Buuuurn! But, he's a kazillionaire, or whatever is the equivalent in India, so he hires Bachelor Number Two, Gaurav (Arjun Rampal). That's him up above, doing his happy, "I'm Mr. Sexy" dance. If you're not rolling on the floor laughing after that.... Well. Anyway, Yash doesn't want training in romancing chicks. No, this is Bollywood, we gotta do things backwards. Gaurav is supposed to woo Isha, and then break her heart. YEAH, THAT WILL WORK! And, it almost works! But, oops, Gaurav kisses her, and of course FALLS INSTANTLY IN LOVE.

But, he's being paid a lot, so he fakes sleeping with his real life girlfriend, Maya, who is not really his girlfriend, so Isha will see. Yeah, she walks right into the bedroom. Why? Because Bachelor Number three, Taj, saw Gaurav and Maya dancing by a waterfall, and YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!! (You forgot about Bachelor Number Three, didn't you? So did I. He's kind of a nonentity.) Anyway, of course this forces Isha to fall in love with millionaire Yash.

But, anyway, Taj busts on everybody, so Isha somehow ends up engaged to him instead. But meanwhile, Gaurav FEELS BAD. So, even though he's been a jerk throughout 9/10 of the movie, he ends up skulking around Taj and Isha's engagement party, and Isha ends up crying all over him, because even though he's a jerkwad, he's a male model, so he's kinda hawt. Isha's eeeeevil parents want her to marry Taj, because, you know, he's nice and kind of NOT FUCKING INSANE like the rest of the men in this movie. Tsk! Parents!

Anyway, then in the last five minutes of the movie, all the couples get reshuffled, seemingly at random, and then everybody gets married to everybody else. YAY!

I love Bollywood....
