Na Tum Jaano Na Hum

This was an earlier Hrithik Roshan vehicle. It sounded light and fluffy, so I watched it because I was ill this week and thought it would put my mind off. Charming, if pretty standard fare, though I understand it didn't do well when it was originally released in India for some reason.
This time Hrithik is a Rahul (instead of a Rohit or Rohan). In a plot that only happens in Bollywood, he falls in love with a girl he only knows through writing letters. Later, he agrees to check out a potential bride for his best friend/foster brother, Saif Ali Kahn. Hey, guess what? IT'S THE SAME GIRL! Bet you never saw that one coming. Well, Hrithik, not realizing who she is, goes off dancing in the snow, dancing in a field, and getting caught in a rainstorm with her. WHAT WILL HAPPEN????
One thing I really liked was the female lead: Esha Deol. If you watch the video, notice that, like Hrithik, she actually looks like she's having a good time dancing. (She probably did - Hrithik noted in an interview she was quicker picking up some of the steps than him.) And the guy who plays Hrithik's best bro, Kahn, is fun to watch too, though I don't think they've given him enough to do other than being a "ladies man." One note: in one way, Bollywood is a lot like Disney: parents always seem to die or emigrate, and you're brought up by (often unrelated) Uncle and Auntie instead.
Once again, if you see the video, you can probably spot some stuff I didn't like: the director is just clumsy. If you notice when they're dancing on the dock, you can't see half the moves because they're behind some huge pillar! Just, dumb. And there's a couple of songs where they don't even bother to dance, they just walk moodily along and mime to the singer. Rip off!!
Also referring to this video, Esha is wearing a pretty tight, short skirt for a lot of it, which is fine. Except there's an important plot point where she wears a short, tight skirt and feels uncomfortable about it later in the movie. If she's modest, then have her dress modestly, ya know?
There's a pretty good production number at a wedding (won't tell you whose) and a great trippy one where you get to see an airplane catch fire and burn as backup dancers twirl around: very WTF. And the music, by Hrithik's uncle once again, is good.
BTW, I found a Bollywood freaks forum that looks good, but I can't seem to register for the #$^%$ thing!!! First they didn't open registration on time (I guess they only have a few short windows a year) and then it took me like 20 minutes to write a password they'd accept and get past the captcha, and THEN after all that they wrote me that the admin would have to approve me, so I'm still waiting for that. And all of this is evidently to prevent 14-year-olds from signing up and putting one-sentence posts to the forum, like "HRITHIK ROOLZ." I'll admit that kind of stuff annoys me too, but I wonder if it's worth putting off people like me who would honestly contribute? I've seen a couple of threads where people are wondering why there aren't any new people around.
