Casa de Tikistitch
Aug. 10th, 2005 06:21 pmWe interrupt our sporadic tour of Casa de Tikistitch to bring you this commercial message:

This is a letter we received today. We haven't opened it, we have no need. We get mail like this every week. It's an offer to buy Casa de Tikistitch. Which we're not likely to sell, as Boba and our Stitchies live here.
Look closely at the address:

Tikistitch kept her maiden name when she married. Somehow, this simple fact of two adults with different surnames cohabiting in the same property became mutated on some real estate mailing list to the two-headed entity, "Gustavo Pamela & Green Lopez."
All well and good, but note as well that the envelope is hand-addressed. Tikistitch has done this herself, for selected charity mailings, as hand-addressed envelopes are reputed to be more likely to be opened. However, given that a real live breathing human being with fingers and a wrist and presumably a brain hand-inscribed our mailing (as opposed to some kind of godforsaken Microsoft merge mailing program) does it not seem odd that nobody noticed "Gustavo Pamela & Green Lopez" is *not* a likely name for man nor beast nor homeowners???????
