What else?
Aug. 6th, 2005 09:25 amYup, more Stitchies.

These guys are from Thailand.
No kidding. The company is called Magic Power (good name!).

It looks like they're licensed, as they have the little hologram thingies on the tags, and it says "for sale in Thailand only." Pretty cool that Stitch has fans in Southeast Asia!
Dunno if crane machines are big in Thailand like in Japan, though these look very much like UFO prizes.

Date: 2005-08-06 02:10 pm (UTC)My friend went to Tokyo a couple months ago, and said it's totally Stitch Central. I'll try to dredge up some of the pictures, but my LJ tags aren't working any more, so I'm not sure where they went to. Here's a picture he took of a claw machine, packed with Stitchies:

Date: 2005-08-06 05:55 pm (UTC)sorry should have added this to the other comment.. the only ones I've been to are the ones down here. They have show & sales every month almost it seems either hosted by NFFC (there was one in conjunction with the NFFC convention before the birthday weekend.. on the 10th) That one was at Chapman & Harbor (the hotel by Red Robin & stuff?)
The Disneyana ones or whtever.. sean knows more about these.. are at the Coast Anaheim, which is near the convention center.. the park itself has some special events it puts on throughout the year where we get some neat stuff.. the Chip & Dale event and the Indy event earlier this year.. as well the SHAG event Sean & I went to.
The one on the 10th was great though.. it seemed like I was running into so many people I knew or haven't seen in ages. I don't go to them regular but Sean wanted the Disneyland Hotel book that was coming out and I picked up and had signed the Kevin Yee Disneyland Trivia books for another friend who couldn't come down.
One of these days I'll finish the photos from that weekend! oy!
But as far as Stitch there are usually tons of stitch and I know there was a lady that had a HUGE table just as you walk in to the 2nd ballroom which is where they Kevin & Jason were signing their DL trivia books..
Next time there's a postcard I will be sure and post about it. If you join NFFC though for like $25 you get to go in a little before the crowds and you get a small discount on admission. =) I'm not a member but I got a postcard... so they must still have my info! (er,
