Revenge of Casa de Tikistitch
Aug. 4th, 2005 07:06 pmPt. Deux of a cook's tour of the world famous Casa de Tikistitch!
We're going upstairs today! Oooooo....

Here at the foot of the stairs....
Well, it's the Death Star. Yup, that Death Star. The one Luke Skywalker blew up in the movie. (The original Star Wars movies kiddies, the ones with Han Solo and the Yoda puppet.) Mr. Tikistitch's favoritest collectible. He got it, as he does many of his pieces, from some guys, who got it from some other guys. Originally, Lucasfilm left it in a storage locker. And forgot to pay. Ha!! Hippies.
And here's something you will only see at Tikistitch's special tour.

See? It's the top of the Death Star! And, oh my, it's only really half a Death Star. Or maybe 7/12. If Luke had just been a clever Jedi and gone around to the back, all that unpleasantness with wiping out the licensed contractors could have been avoided.

Not as exciting, but this is our authentic Lilo & Stitch surfboard. About a dozen of these were made to promote the original film. This one supposedly hung in Eisner's office for a time. Of course, every single one of these we've ever seen for sale has supposedly hung in Michael Eisner's office. So, either his office looks like a surfboard parking lot, or sommmmmmebody's misinformed.
Anyways, it's parked at the landing while we figure out how to hang it up somewhere cool. This is probably our favorite Lilo & Stitch piece in the whole wide world.

You seek Yoda? Here he is. This was an advertising display for Pepsi a few years back, and is pretty common. At least, among kooky Star Wars collectors, which, come to think of it, are about the only people we know anyway.

This is actually Mr. Tikistitch's curio cabinet, but he has generously donated it to Lilo & Stitch whilst his own vintage action figure collection guest stars at the Science Fiction museum. Actually, Mr. Tiki kind of said it was OK after the cabinet was pretty much filled up with Stitches. We're not exactly sure how they all got in there. They're so naughty sometimes.

Just a "teaser" for Tikistitch's lair. This is actually the guest room, but we had to move our Super Dollfies in here while we rearranged our room. We think it's kinda funny how SDs are supposed to be so huge, but they look pretty teensy next to Boba. Chii (on the right) is our fave, just 'cause we wanted her for literally years before we actually had the money to buy plus someone wanted to sell her. We'll take some better pictures, but right now we need another Margarita (with plenty of salt).
