EWWWW! What's that coming out of Stitch's butt?

Found these weird items on a Japanese auction board.

No, we still don't read any Japanese beyond "Tore wa doko desu ka?" But even to our gringo eyes, these puppies looked like they maybe did stuff.

Eureka! It's a Stitchie speaker for your 'pooter (or other electronic-y device). We are currently playing "Aloha e Komo Mai" out of Stitch's footies. You could prolly hook it up to your Pod as well. It's not exactly hifi, but how else can you get music coming out of Stitch's patookie, huh?

Just, um, don't set yourself on fire, 'kay?

FWIW, the warning label there is in Chinese, not Japanese. I can vaguely tell that it says something about small objects, suffocations, and children not eating something.

Hmmm, interesting. United Internation, the company that made the speakers, is Chinese, but I wasn't sure if they were manufactured for the Japanese market (since I bought 'em off Yahoo J) or for mainland Asia.

I love getting items with little cartoon hazards depicted on the box.

Maybe it's just a typo, but the phrase you want is "Toire wa doko desu ka?" The word "tore" is a command for someone to take something. ("Take it!!", in a not very respectful way).

Japanese auctions? You mean on ebay? Or somewhere else?

"Tis moot, 'cause as [livejournal.com profile] twotone pointed out, the toy is *Chinese*, so I guess I'll have to ask my officemate how to ask for the toilet in Mandarin.

Yahoo! Japan auctions. Though some eBay dealers have Japanese Stitch goods too nowadays.

BTW, I'm a girl, not a guy. At least last I checked. ^_^
