Just wanted to related the Tale of the Thor Throne.

Basically, it's some setup to promote the new Marvel movie. Now, one of our bitches about Comic Con Nouveau is how it's gone totally Hollywood and all the stuff has gotten really corporate and exclusive. You can't even crash the good parties any more, you gotta be working in "the business" to do anything fun. And, who the hell works in The Business?

Anyway, we were hanging out Thursday, and my friends were all going, "You can totally get your picture up there on the Thor Throne!" So, of course, guess what I wanted to do next?

Well, we get there, and there's a small crowd around snapping photos. A cute girl in a miniskirt goes up to take her picture, and, well, that's a pretty unfortunate angle for someone with a miniskirt, but the men seemed mighty appreciative! Anyways, we were looking around for the appropriate line to jump into for a photo op, but didn't really see it. So when Miniskirt Girl came mincing down, everyone said, Eh, just go for it! Which I did, and Mr. Tikistitch snapped the following.

Then I get up and start leaving, and suddenly, some woman is booming in a Thor-like voice, "YOU HAVE NO PERMISSION TO BE UP THERE! PLEASE LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!" And on and on and on about how terrible I am. I'm like, uh, where were you with the miniskirt chick? But, eh. Got my photo. Fuck you. Hollywood.

I'm glad the photo was snapped in time for you to look AWESOMES. I managed to sneak a photo of my hubby in Kirk's chair at the Star Trek display in a Philly museum last summer, but when I tried to get him in Picard's, as soon as I lined up the shot on my phone, a security guard appeared and hollered at me, then threatened to confiscate my phone, then "stealthily" followed me through the rest of the exhibit. Overkill much?
