EEEEEEE!!! Look what the multifaceted Mr. Tikistitch found for us in Tijuana!!!

A wonderful, wonderful unlicensed Lilo statue! It will grace our patio. When we have time to actually put in a patio.

Like so many marvelous items, this statue was found near the border crossing, alongside the monkeys on surfboards.

In the amazing dept, check out these Powerpuff puffs!

We like the fact that The Girls are pictured in cartoon NYC, instead of the fabled Townsville.

And in the disturbing dept....

Beware the wrath of Evil Kitty Puppet!

A chintzy but somehow terrifying Mexican marionette.

Thankyou, Mr. Tikistitch! Luv U! (He can't hear us 'cause he's downstairs with Duncan and Luis, trading ice cream wrappers.)

I don't know why, but I love bootleg garden statuary. Seeing a gas station parking lot with 500 badly-painted Tweety Birds makes me all fluffy.

However, your Lilo is the best ever. I would actually consider getting out of the car and asking the price if I saw her.

I love bootlegs so much--don't know why. You'll probably like the Darth Vader pinatas my husband bought. I'll have pictures of them up soon.

There's something...it's awesome when a bootleg gets just the right degree of wrongness. Like those 8-inch Star Wars toys that were sold in Scotland? The ones done in exactly the wrong colors? The only Chewie I own is the blue one from that set.

yeah man, I rmember when I went to tijuana and they had alot of that powerpuff girl bootleg stuff. it was before lilo and stitch came out so I didnt see any lilo and stitch stuff. But I love your garden statue. I love bootleg toys too. especially the ones that you know are ripping off a certain toy or show but have a really weird name. like say a powerpuff girls ripp off called magic fighters. or a hello kitty rip off called happy cat. like where do they get these names?

Last time we were in Mexico City, *everything* in the street markets was either Che Guevara, or Hello Kitty. We wait impatiently for the inevitable Hello Che.
