Just a quick one: one of the things they inevitably point out on the Denali bus tour is a little cabin in the woods that "artists in residence" can use to creat ... ya know ... art. Since we're the cynical type, we tend to hear a whisper of "boondoggle!" at such things. But they have some of the pieces up at the visitor center up at Eielson, and they're actually not too bad. However, tiki hung out with a LOT of art students in college, and this particular piece kinda struck us as something you'd slap together at 3 am on the morning before a deadline.
